As other social networking sites, twitter is the same. But it has lots of other unique features than as facebook, myspace or linked in. It as more than a social networking site.

Here in twitter, you make profile, follow other peoples profile and get their update, the same way other follow you and you send your updates to your follower. It have lots of integrated services as url shortening, api updating (which means you can update your profile from other places as from facebook, or even your desktop or automatic update from your blog).

Unlike other networking sites, here you can update your profile in each every second, and yes that doesn’t bothers your followers. Updating status means, tweeting. If people likes your tweet, they retweet it, or let it go. They can send you direct message to your profile, if and only if you both have followed each other. You follow those people whom you think following is worthful. Here you update about your status, what is running in your mind, or what your are writing in your blog, or what you just saw in other websites or blog. Its very simple, just join the site at http://twitter.com and then start following peoples and people will follow you.

Getting followers is not an easy task in twitter. It have got a large sector. Even there are lots of other companies based on twitter service who gives you followers and asks for money in return. This is not the real technique and not legal now anymore. If you update a nice tweet, it is likely that your follower will retweet it, and hence increasing your follower. Simply, in the beginning, there are many peoples who follow you if you follow them, but unfortunately, this is not the right technique and does not working much fine.

Twitter these days has been a marketing sector and more like an announcement service even. When ever people or companies have to say anything to their fan and users, they tweet and give a link.

Again as unlike other networking sites, updating or tweeting is unique here. At one time, your update should be no more longer than 140 characters. So this is why the updates are more efficent. People write their update in a very smart and core language and in a very short form making it easy to read.

There are lots of useful applications in twitter as hashtags. Hashtags are an additional service, where you add a #something to your tweet (within 140 characters, and ofcourse anything in the something) and post it. Any other people using same hashtags will be able to find you easily by clicking on the hashtags. The same way you can.

Twitter is not only a marketing place where you update about your blog or company, but also very very much useful service for personal networking. Like if you have got a large no. of friends, you follow them and they follow you. Here starts the real fun. You update your friends about where (there is also a geo-tag service) and what are you doing and they do the same. Such as, you are at somewhere in the capital in a passenger bus, you can update your status by your mobile. Your other friend at the country side is enjoying the holiday, can update his status and feelings by texting if there is no mobile gprs or internet available. At the same time your other friend can update about how his work is going in his office and as well as your other friend can update how he is feeling in another continent of the world. You see all updates. You reply to all updates you are interested in. You can see there responses. And yes, there is no number limitations, except in the updating characters, 140. It make you feel like you guys are together and having a conference or like that.

Starting from beginning.

What is website? A website or a webpage is an online document usually residing in a remote server, in an extension usually as .html or .htm, .php, .jsp, .asp or more sometime. These documents are kept on a remote server connected to internet connection. That server get its own ip address as soon as it is connected to internet. The same ip is its virtual location or path.

By typing www.something.com, we are typing actually website path to that server. Infact, the www.something.com is just in a memorable and human readable format, which actually is ip address.

Now more, the website we visit through its address, may be a various type written in different language and may contain a large various kind of documents such as docs, ppts, exe or many more, simply we can say, all available documents can be loaded to a serer and the accessed through an internet connection from anywhere of the world. Of course, the sever will grand special permission to special one to access those data and not all peoples.

Now moving on blogs, what is blogs?

Blog is just the same websites as we have just talked before with a few difference, but they are vast difference and much functional though.

Blog is an abbreviated word from web and log. A website that changes frequently its contain, or is updated very much is known as blog. There are various kind of blog platforms. In blog, we can maintain regular updates, keep a constant page a side, edit the color and looks and whole layout totally with changing or touching its content to a bit even, we can take all the contents of a blog to another website or blog with 0% of loss and also, we can manage blog in such a way that we can find a decade older post or update easily in a minute from the blog database with out any hassle. All types of news website, update notifying websites, personal update websites, announcements, journals, dairy websites can be taken as an example of a blog site.

Now that we understand what actually blog means, let us discuss about how to blog!

Blogging is so easy as 1-2-3 these days. We don’t need any sort of special knowledge or any money to spend to start a blog. We can start a blog in minutes. As you may think as making a blog with many features will take huge effort then I am saying no for it. You can do it with your simple effort.

As I already said that there are various platforms for blog, yes. There are many kind or service provider for making a blog. The first and top service I would say is Blogger.Com. It is a google service, which enables each person to have as many as blog they want in one account and totally for free with all the features. You can get started with in a minute. Just all you need to have is an email address, then you can start blogging. .. Just that is it.

Another service provider in the market is wordpress.com. This is also a top blogging platform for all the users with lots of rich features and totally free too. Try it on wordpress.com.

And even there are more, just search for “create free blog” on google.

Well, let me start from the beginning. Adsense is an Online Advertising Program, Google product (online service) based on web 2.0 technologies, is used for online web advertising on publishers website. Here in this process there is three party, one is publisher who publishes advertisements on their websites and earn money. The next one is Google, who serves advertisements in different forms as content, images, links and often in various places as in search, feed and main content of different websites. The third or the last party is provider or known as advertiser, who gives their advertisements to Google to be processed and manage it to display on different relevant websites.

Here, the advertiser pays certain amount of money to Google and in turn Google charges the advertiser for the process and then the publisher who publishes their advertisements in their websites or search or feed, get certain amount of money for each click on the advertisement of how many time the advertisement has  been served. Though there is no hard and fast rule from Google that how much a publisher gets in one click made to the advertisement they are serving, it varies from 0.01 to 5$ or even more sometime. This money is dependent on the content of advertisement which means what the ad is displaying or what type the visitor is like from an organic search engine or as a referral visitor or etc. Though it is not defined how a person or publisher earns through Google in one click, if we are diligently engaged in Google adsense and working for it, it is sure that we earn a real cash. But remember that this is not a “MAKE MONEY SLEEPING” process. So to get a good income from Google, you really need to work.

Well what I mean is you need to do a real work such as blogging, or publishing good contents or providing good information or something like that and not doing something like ad-click-campaign or group-clicking or even click exchange. Though there are different options of ad clicking which may look sometime as working and can take you to an illusion that you can earn money by it, but not, it is not a real good way to earn through adsense. If you really want to earn money from Google adsense, you should never click on any of the advertisements, and not even try to click on others ad too.

Well, there are lots of other adsense like online advertising companies but till the date, Adsense is the most forward and highly configured high tech PPC (Pay Per Click) program available on the internet. Though there are also buysellads.com or bidvertiser.com, yet you can have a try to them too.

These days, adsense is being used by the most popular websites as youtube.com or in facebook.com or also in google searches and to small websites as personal website or anywhere. You are allowed to use adsense in most of the cases as far as you go under the agreement to their terms and conditions.

To get started with Adsense, you need to have a website or blog where you publish your content and can serve advertisements. Of course adsense have got its own terms and conditions to apply, your website should be inside their terms and conditions. Then you need to sign up to adsense, at adsense.com and create an account. At beginning you need to submit your website for review to Adsense that if it is a quality website to serve adsense or not. In most of the cases including large to small websites, you are probably suitable instead of some few cases, you will be approved to use adsense.
Using adsense is not too much difficult task, just when you create your adsense account and are approved to use it, you just sign in to your account, then go to your control panel, just define few settings such as image ad or text ad or link ad,  of what size, then simply you are done. You will get a small javascript code to copy and take it to your website and then put it on your website and simply publish it in somewhere visible to the visitor. That’s it, you are not ready to earn.

One simple formula to earn money from adsense is, never click on your own ads.

And, talking about my experience in adsense, I’ve got a variety of experience in this field. Like at some time when I was beginner, I got my website rejected due to various reasons as different language website, or not good quality contents or not enough contents etc. Later on, when I was approved, I tried some of the ad-click or click-exchange program, which led me to make more than 350$ at the very beginning inside just one month which was just at the beginning of my blogging experience, and then just got it collapsed all and remain silent for few months. Yet I applied to have a review to my earnings and if it could be sent, I could not help myself at that period. Later on, when I started to work as a hard working blogger, and started publishing real content on my website, I started to have some genuine income, which was very low. Later when I started my website optimization for Adsense and quality SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and then when I started hitting more and more ranking day by day more visitors, I started to have a good income through adsense eventually. Thank you Google…. though now I am an full time student, and wordpress expert and earn money by making websites, I also earn a good income from adsense by blogging in 3 blogs.

There are lots of online 3rd party websites or services which lets you the service of website monitoring. Some of them are free, trial and some are paid. These websites keep regular monitoring on your websites and sends you email alert or sms alert according to their tariff plans. Usually email alerts are free but you need to purchase sms alerts. Depending on the 3rd party website you are using, they may let you monitor 1, 2 or more websites simultaneously in free account.

If you are going to find a new host for your website, then the server uptime if one of the most important thing you should watch about the host. Not only the downtime, but also these monitoring services lets you know the server response at different time from different zone of the world.

There are 100′s of website monitoring 3rd party companies, just google it about. Few of them are, pingdom.com, host-tracker.com, site34x7.com, 100pulse.com.

Depending on the 3rd party service you are using, they check your website in every 1, 5, 10 or 30 minutes as you define in the setting after being a user of those websites.

I am  currently using pingdom.com to monitor my websites. A monthly email report of pingdom.com’s monitoring service is as below. But yes, there are also lots of components on the report beside the uptime and downtime so don’t confuse it only as uptime monitoring service.
